Everyone basically has their own website these days, may it be an account in Facebook, or something a little bit more complex. This tutorial aims to show its readers how to create their own website. This is to address the many noobs, or newbies, who would want to build a website for themselves.
Step by Step
Be sure to follow the following steps to the tee, to ensure success.
1. Ensure your own domain name
So, what is a domain name? Well, a domain name is, in simple words, the name you want to give your site. A good example would have to be “facebook.com”.
Well, to get a domain name, you will actually have to pay an annual fee to be allowed to use that name. It’s sort of like registering a business of your own. Getting the domain name doesn’t automatically mean that you now have your own website. Just because you registered a business, for example, doesn’t mean you can start up that business at once. So, that’s basically the same idea with the domain name.
2. Pick out a web host
A web host is, simply put, a company with many computers connected through the Internet. It’s crucial to have this because you will need this to be connected to everyone in the worldwide web and be able to showcase your site. Once you have chosen your web host, you will have to sign up for an account.
If getting a domain name is somewhat like registering your business name, picking out a web host is very much comparable to renting out a shop or office for your business. So, after you choose your web host, you can now stay in your rented space and point out your domain to that account on your web host.

4. Test
Technically, this is still part of your design cycle. But it is very important that is why I opted to put it separately. You have to test your pages in a lot of browsers and in different resolutions to ensure its optimum potential.
5. Get Your Site Noticed
With your site ready, the only thing left for you to do is to get it noticed! You can actually do so by submitting your site to different search engines like Google or Yahoo.
